The Fondation PLAZA and MAMCO present a hypnotic 24-hour video art installation
by Swiss-American artist Christian Marclay.
Through various installations, exhibitions and performances,
Le Plaza is animated by a rich artistic programme until its reopening in 2024.
Le Plaza was the first cinema in Switzerland to be equipped with Cinemascope,
which allowed wide-screen movie formats.
Le Plaza and the Mont-Blanc Centre designed by architect Marc J. Saugey
are key examples of post-war modernist architecture in Geneva.
The Foundation aims to invent a new future for the historic cinema designed by Marc J. Saugey
with the opening of a cultural centre for cinema and architecture in 2024.
