Art Genève 2026: “The Plaza steps through the screen”
From 29 January to 1 February, the Plaza Centre Cinéma invites you to experience an immersive journey combining virtual reality and iconic film scene, using an unprecedented technology to rediscover fragments of cinema history within a 300 m² space.

With the new line chosen for the Plaza’s neon sign, Geneva-based artist Christian Robert-Tissot brings us back to Wim Wenders’ foundational film. Released in 1974, Alice in the Cities is a luminous meditation on wandering and rootlessness.
Simon Edelstein, Indian Travellings 2006 – 2025
After a first exhibition at the Plaza devoted to the disappearance of old cinemas around the world, Simon Edelstein continues his photographic journey with a second episode dedicated to India. The exhibition is on view in the public areas of the Mont-Blanc Centre.
What the hell is wrong with freedom ?
The new message chosen by artist Christian Robert-Tissot for the Plaza’s illuminated sign evokes a work of rebellion, featuring a line taken from the cult film Easy Rider, open to multiple interpretations.
The Plaza reveals its new visual identity
The new visual identity of the Plaza was developed by Schaffter Sahli studio. The identity highlights the close relationship between architecture and typography. A new website will be launched by the end of the year.
“Plaza on Tour” at Pavillon Sicli!
This September, the Plaza Foundation will return with the second episode of Plaza on Tour, a unique cinematic experience at the crossroads of architecture, film, and urban transformation.
“The Followings”, choreographic fiction by n+n Corsino
The Marseille choreographer duo n+n, formed by Nicole and Norbert Corsino, has created a danse sequence that will be shown until February 28, 2025 on the screens located on each floor of the Mont-Blanc Center, like a poetic interstice.

Camille de Dieu and Laurent Novac of Studio Z1 unveil their third installation in the Mont-Blanc Centre elevators, titled 3 and a Half and on view until the end of February 2026.

The Iconic Beams of the Plaza Cinema Return After a Year of Workshop Restoration
The iconic aluminum beams of Geneva’s Plaza Cinema are finally back! Carefully restored in a specialized workshop near Bulle, these unique architectural elements will be reinstalled between May and June 2025.
