Construire un lieu de rencontre et d’échanges
The historic main theater
An exceptional architectural space, the cinema hall will be restored and will recover its original colour palette. The project features rows of seats arranged around a central nave, returning to the historic configuration envisioned by Saugey, who conceived a direct passage from the outside to the inside, from the street to the screen.
The hall will offer 500 seats in the stalls and 100 seats on the balcony. The gilded frame that originally surrounded the screen will be restored and slightly enlarged.
The remarkable concrete stage will remain intact and will be extended by a retractable proscenium following its curvature, allowing for the organisation of film-concerts, live performances and conferences.
The monumental balcony will be redesigned with a series of banquettes and convivial tabletops, enabling the service of drinks and light refreshments. The renovation also provides for a direct connection between the balcony and the restaurant. Accommodating up to 100 people, this space may be used independently for private screenings, seminars or meetings.
